I dont think that this issue is as bad as it seems. There are still some filler stains and some uneven planks that need some further sanding. I will need to sand lightly accross the curves. At the moment I am using 120 grit and hope to move to 240 grit soon and then quickly on to Glassing. Right now I will be making the bow and stern pieces.
I am building a Cape Ann strip built sea kayak from plans purchased from oneoceankayaks.com This blog is just to document the process. I purchased the plans a few years ago and it has been a 'One Day' project - thanks to my best man, STJ, for the long chat over a couple of beers that finally gave me the kick in the arse that I needed to get this started.

Time to stop sanding.
Several places on the boat are showing thinner places on joins, especially on the curves of the hull.
