Second strip.

The first strip on the Port side broke when I tried to get it to conform to the curve.  I had to alter the planned use of the strips and go with the second strip for the port side as the first strip.  I planed the bow and stern to a point and test fitted before gluing in place - where there is stress on the board I have now chosen to use staples rather than hot glue.

Preparing for the second strip.  I mounted four of my clamping jigs high on the forms to allow me to align the plank and then apply the glue in the cove ready to flip over and join to the previous strip

The second strip is mounted straight from bow to stern and does not align to the curve of the ends. I will come back to this and fill in the gap with some short planks later.
The sceond strip was cut to length and then glued to the bow piece.

First strip - finally #SocialDistancing

The Strips were laid out ready to go. One more check with the the laser level, a little packing to make it all level end to end and side to side.
This strip has a bead on both edges and has tapered ends to allow it to conform to the required curves of the bow and stern.  Using the jigs prepared earlier and clamps to hold the strip in place I then hot glued the strip at each station and glued the tip to the bow piece.

View from the bow. there is quite a curve over the last 3 stations.

Along the side the strip is pretty straight.

Finishing the workbench

Attatched table top of 300mm ply and began fabrication of strongback spacer supports.

Moved the stongback and forms to their new home on the mobile workbench.
