I purchased the plans a few years ago and it has been a 'One Day' project - thanks to my best man, STJ, for the long chat over a couple of beers that finally gave me the kick in the arse that I needed to get this started.

First strip of the deck
I have chosen to start the deck with a 6mm strip of mountain ash. - an old window sill from my childhood home.
This stip is just 6mm wide and no wood glue was used - just some hot glue on the outside only.
